Welcome to Activities and Clubs

Anime Club
Students in all grade levels who love the art of anime and Japanese culture are welcome to participate in this club. We have cosplay costume contents, watch movies, and learn more about the art of anime. We appreciate the opportunity to share our art with others who enjoy anime. The Anime Club will meet bi-monthly. Students will be notified during morning and lunch announcements.

Art Club
Students from all areas are welcome to join in making arts and crafts projects after school and participate in art-related projects to help better the school.  Art Club meetings will usually meet on Thursdays once a month. Students will be notified during morning and lunch announcements.

Cheerleaders
Our Krimmel cheerleaders help raise spirit while assisting with school-sponsored events as well as cheering for multiple athletic events at home. Krimmel Cheerleaders are open to 7th and 8th grade students. The cheerleaders will compete in two local cheer competitions. Take it to the top! Fire it up!

Crochet Club
The Crochet Club teaches students to develop a knowledge and experience in crochet for personal benefit and to benefit others through donations. All students are invited to join and have fun learning the almost forgotten art of crocheting.

Environmental Club
The Krimmel Environmental Club meets every Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. We offer a curbside paper recycling service for all teachers, faculty and staff, in addition to our lunchroom recycling. Our students also help maintain the Krimmel garden. The goal of our organization is to spread environmental awareness and to encourage our students to be proactive in protecting our planet.

DI
Destination Imagination is a creative problem-solving educational organization that strives to promote creativity in young people. Student teams solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together abd devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the challenges. Krimmel students in grades 6 - 8 are chosen for teams at the beginning of the school year based on an application and audition process.

Knights 4 Christ
Knights 4 Christ equips and encourages students in their relationship with Christ. Our club is open to all students of Krimmel.

KnightTime Players
KnightTime Players is a competition acting team that meets weekly in the fall. All students in grades 6-8 are welcome to join. Tournaments will be held from October - December.

National Junior Honor Society
NJHS provides service to the school, students, teachers and the community. To be eligible for membership in NJHS, a student must demonstrate outstanding scholarship, character, citizenship, leadership and service. Students are eligible after the first semester of their 7th grade year. Students must have an overall 90 average and complete a multi-facet process of selection. If the student is selected, they will be inducted at the end of the school year. Only 8th grade students are able to participate during the school year.

Spanish Club
Experience the culture of our Spanish-speaking friends around the world! We meet approximately once a month in various locations. Club dues are $10 a year which will cover treats and supplies for the whole year. Club shirts are $16 each. RSVPs in LMS are required to attend meetings as well as payment of club dues. Gotta pay to play! :) Students can join at any time during the year, Click HERE to order t-shirts and bring money to Ms. Powell (exact change or check or pay online). Please see Ms. Powell for further details in Room 133.

Student Council
Student Council consists of our student leaders who are elected in First Period classes. We also have an executive board with a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Reporter. Students who wish to participate, but who were not elected, may become Work-On Members by completing 10 Hours of Volunteer work for the Council or by attending meetings. Student Council sponsors many service activities and fund raisers that help to support our many community projects. We also sponsor Fun Days, Red Ribbon Week Activities, Food and Toy Drives as well as some upcoming Movie Nights and possibly a Karaoke Night.

Running / Strength and Conditioning Club           
The Running / Strength and Conditioning Club is a club offered to anyone who likes to run or build strength. Current members involve many Cross-Country Runners and Track Runners and others who plan on participating in these sports. There are no requirements for this club except for you must enjoy running.

Club time: Meeting Thursday mornings starting November 10, 2016 - April 27, 2017 from 7:30 AM on the Krimmel track dressed ready to to run (locker rooms will be available for use)
